Year-Round Junior Show Intensives for Musical Theatre Students

Show Studio is an innovative program designed to enhance the skills of young aspiring musical theatre performers. Our year-round intensives provide a dynamic learning environment, where students can immerse themselves in the world of musical theatre through various disciplines such as acting, singing, and dancing.

Each intensive centers on building confidence and performance abilities while fostering creativity and collaboration among peers. With a focus on collaboration and expression, students will work together in a supportive environment, culminating in a three-weekend run of their junior musical. Join us at Show Studio to develop essential theatre skills, form lasting friendships, and gain invaluable experience that will benefit you in any future artistic endeavors.

Students who are ages 8 to 18 are eligible to audition for this exciting and intensive program. If selected and cast, students will participate in a comprehensive eight-class rehearsal process, which will culminate in a six-show run that will take place over the course of three Saturdays.

RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER JR- Due Sunday October 19th

Plaza Theatre Company is pleased to announce that audition video submissions for its upcoming production of HERCULES JR are now open. This notice is a call for video submissions to audition for the show.

AUDITION INFORMATION -
Those who wish to audition must submit their completed video by 11:59pm on Wednesday July 1st. The video should include the reading of any of the attached dialog sides in the style of the character you are auditioning for as well as the singing of 32 bars of music in the style of the show. The auditioner should submit the video as part of filling out this Google Form to audition: https://tinyurl.com/mryj7hnr

Performers of any ethnicity, race, color, sex, gender, age, sexual orientation, marital status, religion, and who are differently abled are welcome and encouraged to audition. We are actively seeking all ethnicities for all roles. ALL ROLES ARE OPEN.

Should the Production Team need to see anyone further for a Callback Audition, those who will be invited to attend will be notified by Thursday July 2nd at 11:59pm. The Callback audition will be held the evening of July 6th at 6:00pm at the Plaza Academy, 221 S. Mill St., Cleburne, TX. Everyone who submits an audition video will be notified of casting decisions regardless of whether or not they are called back or cast.

The Production Team for HERCULES JR includes Tina Barrus & Tabitha Ibarra & Garrett Hollowell as co-Directors with Tabitha Ibarra as the Musical Director, Eden & Miranda Barrus as Choreographer, and Crystal Minnick as Stage Manager. JaceSon P. Barrus, Tina Barrus and G. Aaron Siler are the Plaza Theatre Company Producers.

PRODUCTION INFORMATION -
HERCULES JR will play on August 22nd thru September 5th on Saturday afternoons at 4pm and 6pm opening on Saturday August 22nd and playing thru Saturday September 5th. Rehearsals will commence on or around Monday July 27th.

HERCULES JR
Disney's Hercules Jr is a high-energy stage adaptation of the 1997 animated film. The story follows Hercules as he discovers his demigod heritage, battles the villainous Hades, and finds love with Megara. This lively production features witty, updated dialogue, vibrant sets, stunning costumes, and a dynamic score by Alan Menken, including fan-favorite songs such as "Go the Distance," "A Star Is Born," "The Gospel Truth," and "Zero to Hero."
