Ages: 5-8
Theatre comes to life for young ones in this energetic class! Through games, musical activities and play, children explore the basics of performing. This 45-minute weekly class performs musical numbers in Plaza Academy Winter and Spring recitals.

Ages: 9-13
In this fun and energetic class, kids get to sing, dance, and perform while exploring the world of musical theatre! Students will build confidence and learn basic performance skills through exciting group activities and rehearsals. Along the way, they’ll prepare two lively musical numbers to perform on stage at the Winter and Spring recitals. This weekly hour-long class is the perfect place for young stars who love to shine!
teen musical theatre
Ages: 14-18
This high-energy class is designed for teens who love to sing, dance, and perform. Students will build confidence and stage presence while developing vocal and dance techniques. This weekly hour-long course focuses on performance skills, character development, and ensemble work as students prepare two musical numbers to be showcased at the Winter and Spring recitals.
HARMONY connection
A harmony in perfect tune is one of life’s most beautiful sounds. HARMONY CONNECTION offers the unique association that performers share with one another and their audience while on stage in a truly magical way. Students of all abilities will join with experienced performers to create theatre magic together.
plaza jr Show studio
Show Studio is an innovative program designed to enhance the skills of young aspiring musical theatre performers. Our year-round intensives provide a dynamic learning environment, where students can immerse themselves in the world of musical theatre through various disciplines such as acting, singing, and dancing.
Students who are ages 8 to 18 are eligible to audition for this exciting and intensive program.
junior theatre festival classes
Junior Company & Senior Company – JTF Performance Teams
Our Junior and Senior Companies are performance groups dedicated to preparing high-level musical theatre productions for the Junior Theatre Festival (JTF)—the world’s largest celebration of young musical theatre performers. In these exciting and fast-paced classes, students build advanced skills in singing, acting, and dance while working as an ensemble to rehearse a 15-minute cut of a Broadway Junior show for adjudication at the festival.
Junior Company is designed for younger performers and newcomers to JTF, offering experience-appropriate training, teamwork, and tons of fun.
Senior Company is geared toward more experienced or older students ready to take on greater performance and character challenges. This group prepares and performs an entire Junior title in JTF format in addition to the 15-minute JTF cut.
Both companies focus on excellence, collaboration, and creativity as students grow as artists and take part in a once-in-a-lifetime musical theatre experience!
